Disney’s THE LION KING EXPERIENCE, JR. Edition is playing at The Sandler Center for Performing Arts on September 30 at 7:00 p.m., October 1 at 2:00 p.m., Sunday at 2:00 p.m., and at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts on October 15 at 2:00 p.m.
The Hurrah Players are excited to announce their Fall Main Stageperformance will be Tony Award Winning, Disney’s Broadway Musical THE LION KING EXPERIENCE, JR. This will be a Virginia Beach premiere! The Lion King tells the story of the epic adventures of a curious cub named Simba as he struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destiny as king.
Along the way, the young lion encounters a colorful cast of characters including spunky lioness Nala, charismatic meerkat Timon, and lovable warthog Pumbaa. To claim his rightful place on the throne and save his beloved Pridelands, Simba must find his inner strength and confront his wicked Uncle Scar.
The Lion King Experience, JR. features classic.songs from the 1994 film such as “Hakuna Matata” and the Academy Award®-winning “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” as well as additional songs penned for the Broadway production. Hugh Copeland (Descendants) states, "This production brings out a tremendously talented cast of youth and adult actors from the Hampton Roads area. We strive to provide accessible family entertainment for all.
