Spring Break Art Camps at the Goode Family Visual Arts School have returned for 2025 with two creative camp options for kids ages 6-10! Register now to save your child's space and save the date!
Camps are Monday, April 14th – Friday, April 18th from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Through dynamic yoga flows and expressive art-making, children will explore projects that teach them to capture and convey movement through art. Projects include creating a collaborative mandala pathway, forming kinetic sculptures that move with the wind, and designing action paintings where the movement of paint pouring and gravity become the tools for creativity. They will assemble flow art murals, capturing the grace and energy of their favorite yoga poses. The week concludes with a vibrant outdoor exhibit where children showcase their creations, inviting viewers to experience art that moves both the body and the imagination.
Journaling is a practice that is used by people all over the globe for self-expression, reflection, and to record personal experiences. This week we will explore the art of journaling through simple, fun, and even silly prompts. We will push our creativity outside the lines with painting, drawing, and collage inspired by the beautiful gardens at the Hermitage. Campers will learn a variety of art-making techniques while incorporating aspects of nature as we construct the pages of our journals.
