SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION:

Dates and Times

• June 6th through August 19th (11 weeks) (closed for Federal Holidays- Juneteenth & Independence Day)
• All Summer Camp Programs and field trips take place between 9am - 3pm
• Summer Camp Care is available Monday -Friday 6am- 6pm

• Weekly Activities:
  • Waterplay on the field at OVCA
  • Walk to and visit the Norfolk Public Library- Pretlow Branch
  • Walks around the neighborhood & on the beach
• Any off campus field trips transportation is provided by the OVCA Bus

NOTICE:  Ocean View Christian Academy, Inc. is abiding by, and is taking additional measures as required by the Department of Public Health and the Department of Social Services to best ensure the health and safety of our students and staff during the current COVID-19 Pandemic.  Please note that this may change how we conduct our summer camp program sizes and activities.  Activities are subject to change as OVCA Admistration deems safe for our students and staff.

Camp is reserved and charged by the weeks enrolled on the application, not attendance.  

What to Bring Daily to Summer Camp:

• Lunch & a drink and snacks if you desire OR sign up for our hot lunch program in your MySchoolWorx account! 
• “Personal electronics (Nintendo, tablets, cell phones, etc) are permitted but are the responsibility of the camper.
  • Personal electronics are permitted ONLY during before care (6am-9am) and aftercare (3pm-6pm). 
  • **Electronic devices will be confiscated if used during summer camp (9am-3pm); by viewing inappropriate content; or if student does not abide by the rules set forth by Ocean View Christian Academy. Rules will be set/shared at the start of summer camp with all campers and parents.
  • Only “E” rated games may be played on personal electronics. Regardless of parent permission, Ocean View Christian Academy will not permit Teen (‘T’) rated or higher games during the before or aftercare portion of our day.
