The 757 is Special – And So is the $7.57 Admission Rate at Nauticus!

Start the new year with a visit to Nauticus and the Battleship Wisconsin --and a special, limited-time offer!  If you're local, you get it! - that is, a substantial discount at one of Norfolk’s most popular attractions. From January 18 through February 28, all residents with a 757 area code will pay only $7.57 per adult or child, nearly half the price of regular admission.  This offer also applies to those with out-of-area phone numbers who now live in Hampton Roads. 

Visitors must bring in proof of local residency to receive this amazing deal. In addition, Nauticus family memberships, for up to two adults and four children, are only $75.70 through February 28 (no other discounts apply).

Saturday, February 10, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
And Still I Rise. In celebration of Black History Monthjoin us for an entire day of unique programming featuring African American leaders in the history, military and science fields. Activities will include panel sessions for adults and children, stories of African-American achievement, and a book signing by a local bestselling author. Visit Nauticus.org for more details.
 
Saturday, February 17, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
NPS Science Fair. Science fair projects from Norfolk Public School students in grades 3-6 will be on display throughout Nauticus.  This annual event is a great opportunity for Norfolk students to showcase their science exploratory talents. Awards will be presented at the end of the day.
 
Monday, February 19, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Presidents Day. Nauticus will be open on Presidents Day from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
 
Tuesday, February 27, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Homeschool Day. Nauticus invites local homeschoolers to take part in a special day just for them! Education programs, science demonstrations, movies and self-guided tours of the Battleship Wisconsin will be available throughout the day. Homeschool Day is $7.57 for both adults and children ages 4 – 17. Children ages 3 and under are free.  Call (757) 664-1034 for more information.
 
Daily, Times vary.
Guided Engine Room Tours. Explore the fascinating multi-levels of propulsion machinery space during this 90-minute tour, now featuring exciting new multi-media that brings this compartment to life. Must be able to climb steep ladders and tolerate close spaces. $20 per person. No advance purchase required.
 
3D MOVIES
Daily, 11 a.m. & 2 p.m. (24 minutes).
Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Secret Ocean IN 3DNarrated by renowned oceanographer Dr. Sylvia Earle, this breakthrough movie uncovers a secret world within the ocean that is perhaps the biggest story of all – that the smallest life in the sea is the mightiest force on which we all depend.
 
Aircraft Carrier: 21st Century Sea Power IN 3D 12:30 & 3:30 p.m.
Aircraft Carrier immerses audiences into the exciting realm of air and sea operations aboard a modern Nimitz-class nuclear-powered carrier. Track the experiences of a young F-18 Super Hornet pilot and others engaged in a massive international event.
 
 
General Information
Nauticus & the Battleship Wisconsin, located on the downtown Norfolk waterfront, explores the nautical, naval and natural wonders of our waters.  Nauticus features hands-on exhibits, aquaria, 3D films, the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, and the Battleship Wisconsin (BB64), one of four Iowa-class ships—the largest and last battleships built by the U.S. Navy.  A Stewards of the Sea” exhibit explores the Navy’s environmental efforts. Location:  Nauticus is located in Norfolk, Virginia, 20 minutes west of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, via 264W, and 40 minutes east of Colonial Williamsburg via I-64 to 264W.  Follow I-64 to 264W.  Take the Waterside Drive exit (Exit 9) and follow approximately ½ mile. Nauticus & the Battleship Wisconsin will be on your left.
 
Nauticus admission includes the museum, access to the Battleship Wisconsin’s outer decks and some interior spaces. Guided tours are available below decks for an additional fee.
 
Hours of Operation:. Labor Day – Memorial Day Closed Monday; Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday Noon – 5 –p.m.  Memorial Day – Labor Day, daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
